Qi — July in Lacquer is a month-long celebration of lacquer art as both time-honoured craft and contemporary practice. Through a special display, live demonstrations and hands-on workshops, the programme presents traditional techniques alongside innovative approaches. Experts and artists demonstrate lacquer’s versatility across generations. Visitors are invited to engage with meticulous processes and material qualities of lacquer art, and to discover its enduring vitality and creative potential.
