Lacquer Coaster

The oldest lacquerware discovered dates back to the Warring States period (403-221 B.C.). the craft has been transferred to Japan, Korea, and other parts of Southeast Asia. The value of a piece of lacquerware only begins with the materials used to make it. A high quality piece of lacquerware requires the skills of several different elements: lacquer, layers, core materials, decoration, colours, design and process.

After washing with warm water and soap-clean it with a soft dry cloth, and your lacquerware can be kept in good condition for a long time. However, never expose it to direct rays of sun or heat to prevent it from drying out. Lacquerware is safe from water, alcohol, vinegar, and any kind of oil.

All of our items are individually handcrafted, as a result products will have subtle variations from one piece to the next.
